Materials

  • A room with a large clear space

Instructions

  • Ask participants where they would like to travel in the world. Have the participants pretend the floor is a world map and then stand in the locations they would like to visit.
  • Have participants say where in the world they are and why they’d like to visit.
  • Discuss assumptions about what the world map looks like (which way is North, etc.) and why certain locations are seen as valuable locations.
  • Connect assumptions to dominant narratives and how the narratives shape individual choices.
