Theoretical Framework
The TIDE Theoretical Framework consists of 3 sets of models:
Developmental Cycles
The developmental cycles provide a sequence of learning essential competencies in the development of cultural competence and critical consciousness.
Process Model
The process model explains how students interact with the learning environment in diversity learning opportunities and what happens when students experience threats to their goals, values, and/or well-being.
Structural Models
The structural models explain the key beliefs/attitudes, knowledge, motivation, and skills/behavior that predict effective teaching and learning.
